University Keys has a comprehensive understanding of global higher education opportunities and admissions. Our desire is to use this experience and knowledge to help students achieve success by nurturing their passions and ultimately supporting them through the college application process.
The founder of University Keys is Nickeisha Thomas, a first-generation graduate who specialises in high school guidance and college counselling. She understands the barriers students faces when it comes to college admissions and uses her experiences to overcome barriers to students' success.
Throughout her career, she has taken pride in doing her best because it often makes a huge difference to student success. I enjoy being an advocate for students, effecting change through analyzing student needs and structuring their application process around strengths. Her natural abilities to be meticulous in her work, setting excellence as my standard, and always following through to a successful conclusion.
As a leader, Nickeisha believes that educators must continue the learning process in order to discover new ways to approach ideas in support of student’s passions improving their academic and social abilities. Which leads her to participate in professional organisations conferences and workshops such as Counsel for International Schools,
Nickeisha has been working in the education field since 2009. Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Long Island University she learned how students can increase their offers of acceptances as well as gain thousands of dollars in scholarship. As a leader in College Counselling she worked with grades 8-12 students across numerous acedmic curriculum such as American High School Diploma, Advanced Placement, and International Baccalaureate diploma. Using an using a highly individualized approach she ensures that students are supported, and natured students in every aspect of their college life from recommending best-fit colleges for them, to financial aid requests, resulting in students increased offers of admissions and scholarships. Through recent extensive university campuses visits across Europe and the US, she has made it a priority to build relationships and keep myself abreast with the new trends in college admission worldwide. She coordinated the SAT/Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing to over 300 students.
